(WJLA) – Lloyd Falk, a 100-year-old World War II veteran, has beaten the coronavirus after 58 days in a Virginia hospital.

Falk was one of the hospital’s first COVID-19 patients when he was admitted on March 24, according to a Facebook post by HCA Healthcare's Henrico Doctors’ Hospital.

Sadly, his wife of 74 years, died from the virus a few weeks earlier. The hospital said that despite losing his wife, Falk stayed strong in fighting the virus and surviving.
